Mud Springs Band to perform

The Tygh Valley Bluegrass Jamboree is slated for Sept. 27-29, with several bands, fiddle and banjo workshops, and more.

Weekend admission is $30 at the gate for those who are camping. Otherwise, daily admission is Friday $10, Saturday $20,  Saturday evening $10,  and free on Sunday. Children 12 and under are free, and dogs are welcome on leashes. Food is available on the grounds at the Dew Drop Inn. For information call 541-489-3434.

Friday, Sept. 27, features the Showcase Show Off from 6-7:15 p.m., with cash prizes; Hardshell Harmony  band, 7:30-8:45 p.m.; and the Fine Arts Barn Bash with Kathy Boyd and Phoenix Rising, 8:45-10 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 28, workshops start at 9 a.m. for beginning guitar, banjo, and mandolin, and intermediate bass, fiddle, flat pick guitar, harmonica, dobro, mandolin, and banjo.

A Band Scramble will be held from 10 a.m. to noon; open mic and drawings from 1:10-1:45 p.m.; Slow Jam at 2 p.m.; followed by performances by the Neahkahnie Mountain Band, Brian Oberlin, Fadin’ By Nine, The Loafers, and Whistlin’ Rufus.

After dinner, the Bluegrass Roundup will include performances by The Loafers, Brian Oberlin Trio, Fadin’ By Nine, and Whistlin’ Rufus.

Sunday, Sept. 29, will feature a Bluegrass/Gospel finale with Phil Carrier, Mud Springs Gospel Band, Hardshell Harmony, and Kathy Boyd and Phoenix Rising.
