Kids scramble to Easter egg hunts

Easter egg time.Several community Easter Egg hunts are being offered locally.

Saturday, April 19:

The Madras United Methodist Church will hold a children’s egg hunt at 10 a.m., 49 N.E. 12th St. The City of Metolius will hold a hunt at 1 p.m., at Metolius City Park, with four different age sections. For kids with special needs, a low-key, level floor egg hunt will be held at 2 p.m., at the Metolius Train Depot. The Metolius Depot will have a hunt at 2 p.m., for special needs individuals. 

East Cascade Retirement Community at 175 N.E. 16th St. in Madras, will hold an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m., for toddlers to fifth-graders.

In Culver, children are invited to attend a free Easter Party Club on Saturday, April 19, at Culver Nazarene Church. The Party Club is staffed by trained Christians and offered by the local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc., a Bible-centered world-wide mission organization helping children for over 75 years.

Sunday, April 20:

The annual community Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6 a.m., at the top of Round Butte. Pastor Ron Mulkey will give the sermon and everyone is invited.

The Madras Elk's Lodge will sponsor an egg hunt at 1 p.m., at Sahalee Park in Madras on Seventh Street.
