For the past 20 years, Dan Branson worked as a global sourcing and new product development executive for consumer goods. He specialized in personal protective equipment, and built glove and safety programs for DeWalt, Black and Decker, Stanley, Smith and Wesson and Remington brands.

"I was looking for an opportunity to spend less time overseas, where 99 percent of my time was being spent in factories all over Asia, developing items for my clients," he said.

"It has always been a dream of mine to have my own business, and my wife Shaye has long expressed that her all-time favorite job growing up was her first job back in high school making pizzas," he said.

The Bransons started looking at businesses for sale in the area. "We ran across Tom's listing and the stars just aligned, and we decided to jump in head first!" he said.

Branson noted Hansen has spent 20 years building up the Figaro's business in Madras, and in his honor, they are starting a new lunch service at 11 a.m., with $3-$7 specials, personal-sized pizzas, side salads and pizza by the slice. They are also offering free lunch deliveries to the Madras business community on orders over $20.

"We would like to wish Tom well on his retirement, as we try to fill his shoes," Branson said.

Married for 21 years, the Bransons have been together since high school They have four daughters, Madison, 17, Brooklinn, 15, Emalee, 13, and Ashlyn, 7; and two miniature Yorkie dogs, both named after food – Waffles and McNugget.
