Friday the 13th film at library
A comedy, a classic and a scary Friday the 13th film will be featured in October at the Jefferson County Library Film Center.
The film are shown for free at the library's Rodriquez Annex, at 34 SE E St., Madras, and refreshments are available.
Friday, Oct. 6, 7:30 p.m., "Meet the Patels" (PG). A laugh-out-loud, real life romantic comedy, this is a 2014 documentary featuring Ravi Patel, Geeta Patel, and Champa Patel. An East Indian-American man, who is about to turn 30, gets help from his parents and extended family to start looking for a wife in the traditional Indian way.
Friday, Oct. 13, 7:30 p.m., "The Babadook: (NR). This 2014 Australian horror film stars Essie Davis, Noah Wiseman, and Daniel Henshall. A widowed mother, plagued by the violent death of her husband, battles with her son's fear of a monster lurking in the house, but soon discovers a sinister presence all around her.
Friday, Oct. 20, 7:30 p.m. "The Princess Bride" (PG). It's the 30th anniversary of this swashbuckling favorite, which features heroes, giants, villains, wizards, and true love. Stars include Robin Wright and Cary Elwes.
