This spring, keep an eye on water damage.

Darrel Baumer, DB Collision & AutoworksWhile everyone in the Pacific Northwest may be excited to leave this unusually stormy winter behind, spring weather can also be unpredictable. One minute, the sun is shining, the windows are rolled down in your car, and you have your sunglasses on. The next minute, there's a sudden spring squall—you just ran inside to grab something!—and the interior of your car is soaked.

While leaks aren't necessarily a life-or-death matter, they can be more dangerous and cause more damage than you might expect. It's important to get it fixed right away. Condensation from a wet interior can accumulate on the inside of your windshield, making it dangerous to drive. Mold will grow in damp upholstery and can spread quickly, and floating spores can affect your health. Moreover, most cars nowadays house electronic or computer equipment inside, and it's important to prevent that equipment from getting wet and shorting out.

When you bring your car with water damage in to DB Custom, Automotive INSIDER Darrel Baumer will conduct a short interview to find out where the water is coming from, how long it's been leaking, and what materials need to be replaced. If the damage is "sudden and accidental", as a result of a flood or rainstorm, the repairs may also be covered by your insurance. And as always, DB Custom works directly with your insurer to make sure that you get compensated for those repairs. Call DB Custom at 503-554-1747 to schedule an appointment today.
