Feed the Need donations up in 13
Collecting about 30 percent more donations than it did in 2012, the Feed the Need food drive gathered more than 10,000 pounds during its Oct. 12-13 event. That pushed the organizations total to more than 132,000 pounds donated to Newberg F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service to Humanity) and the Promise Pantry in Dundee since it began 10 years ago. It was a good response from the community, all the giving and volunteering, event coordinator Marshall Sperling said.
