Old Testament seminar offered in January

Grace Baptist Church is offering a “Walk Thru the Bible” Old Testament seminar from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 18. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for high school and college students. Lunch will be provided. For more information, call Chuck Church at 503-538-6557.

Intercessory prayer class filling up

Northside Community Church will kick off an 11-week intercessory prayer class from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday nights beginning Jan. 14. Only a few spots remain and will likely be filled before the registration deadline Jan. 4. Cost for the books used in the class is $20. Finance classes coming in January

2nd Street Community Church will host financial expert Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University program beginning at 6 p.m. Jan. 19. The nine-week course is designed to give families and individuals practical tools to manage their finances and prepare for long-term fiscal success. The course meets once a week and features a different lesson by Ramsey on DVD followed by a small-group discussion.
