Take part in car show, drive-in movie
The public is invited to the 22nd annual Collector Car Drive-In Movie Night at Sept. 6 at the 99W Drive-In theater.
While the event is sponsored by the Edsel Owners Club, it is open to all vehicles.
A cartoon will kick off the show along with vintage advertisements and movie trailers and a 1950s era snack bar.
The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Participants are reminded to bring an FM radio to watch the movie, which will be named in the week leading up to the event. For more information call John at 503-702-8771.
McMinnville places second for Best Main Street
From a field of 16 nominees, McMinnville finished second as Americas Best Main Street 2014 by Parade Magazine. The winner, Collierville, Tenn., was announced last week. The magazine printed photos featuring both towns main streets. The winners were selected using a sport-style bracket in June and July.
