HEATHER DAWN MALLORY

CouRTESY OF Portland Police Bureau

ADVERTISEMENTS

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information in the case of a missing 32-year-old Portland woman who has been missing for since March 8.

Detectives are looking for Heather Dawn Mallory, who disappeared March 8 after an argument with her husband. She left her house early in the morning and has not been seen since.

Mallory, who has one child, is described as a white woman, about 5-foot-5, 120 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was driving a bright red 2001 Ford Focus with Oregon license plates 061 BZX. There is a black bike rack on top of the car and a child seat in the back seat.

Based on information from family and friends, investigators believe it is unusual for Mallory to not contact anyone during the past week. She has been described as professional and responsible in her work habits. She apparently has not used her credit cards are debit card, investigators said.

At this time, detectives have no evidence of foul play.

According to detectives, Mallory attended school and worked a shift March 7. After work, she spent the night socializing with friends and arrived 7:30 a.m. March 8. After she arrived home, Mallory and her husband argued and she left.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or Det. Mike Weinstein, 503-823-0446.

Re: Police seek woman missing for a week

The point of the story is to get help finding Heather, not to reveal the details of any police investigations.

Re: Police seek woman missing for a week

DID SHE TAKE HER CHILD WITH HER? IF SO, PERHAPS SHE JUST WANTED TO GET AWAY. IF NOT, THE POLICE SHOULD LOOK TO HER HUSBAND FOR MORE ANSWERS.

Re: Police seek woman missing for a week

I'm her best friend. I know that she wouldn't leave with out contacting her friends or getting back in touch with her friend soon. I'm just trusting that God is a big God. There are so many people praying for her right now. My trust is that He'll protect her and bring her back safely and soon.

Maybe she just needed to get away. I hope that is the case and she learns to let people know next time.

Re: Police seek woman missing for a week

Let's see she was out all night with friends...did she call home? Cell phone records seem fairly easy to obtain. Who was she out with? Can they question them?

Re: Police seek woman missing for a week

Timothy, the last person to see her was her husband.........why would you question people they had both been out with?

Where were they (The Friends and Her) all night???

There could be Camera's in these places or in the Streets where it might reveal someone was watching her.

Re: Crime Stoppers offer reward in case of missing Portland woman

I am related to the husband of the missing woman Heather, I will be honest that when anyone turns up missing that family and friends should be alarmed. In this case Heather has gone off alone before without telling anyone.

Re: Crime Stoppers offer reward in case of missing Portland woman

I don't understand why it is taking so long to find her car. I think that the detectives need to cover more bases and explore the apartment they live in and question Heather's husband in more detail. Have neighbors been questioned about Heather's disappearance?? Was their son home at the time of her leaving the home?? What time did she exactly leave?? Are their camaras in the area to have seen her car leave the apartment. Is it possible the survellance could show who was in her car or if it was her leaving?? These are all questions that should be answered and the information given is so vague its strange.

To the person related to Heather's husband:

You stated that Heather had left before without telling anyone. Was this for long periods of time? And without calling to check on her child or attending work/school?

Have the FBI been called in to help assist in the investigation? Also, have the neighboring states, Washington and California, been notified about this case?

Re: Crime Stoppers offer reward in case of missing Portland woman

I did notice that she had a myspace page and it hasn't been logged onto to since the 6th of March. Does anyone know if Myspace has been contacted to see if she has any suspicious contact from anyone on there? I was just wondering. I really hope she's alright.

Re: Crime Stoppers offer reward in case of missing Portland woman

Heather has dissapeared for long periods of time. She has finished her finals and has no other reason to stay around. She has stated she doesn't like beign a wife or mother, I have experienced her odd behavior first hand, on a trip to portland a week or so before she left.

Re: Crime Stoppers offer reward in case of missing Portland woman

While Heather may have disappeared before she has not disappeared for this period of time without using any credit cards or contact any family and friends. If she did this frequently then her parents and friends would not be so concerned with her disappearance and they would not be reaching out to the media and posting missing persons posters around. Finals don't last three weeks and everyone goes through periods of not liking what they are doing or where there life is at. It is important that people take this case seriously and make an effort to look for Heather and by making claims that she did not like being a wife or mother or saying that she has done this in the past may take away from people being concerned. Heather has never disappeared for 23 days without using a phone, a credit card or e-mail. Someone going off for a couple of days to cool off is much different then losing contact with everyone for this period of time. I hope that everyone continues to search for Heather and also remembers that her family and friends miss her and are worried sick about her, these people read these posts and it is very inconsiderate to post negative remarks about Heather even if you know her. Those comments are better kept to yourself.
