Francis Myron Rogers

July 6, 1926 — Dec. 24, 2013


Francis Myron Rogers of King City died on Dec. 24 at the age of 87.

The son of Myra Irene Sanders and Isaac Higbee Rogers was born on July 6, 1926, in Chino Valley, Ariz.

He graduated from Mesa High School in Mesa, Ariz., and earned a bachelor's degree in industrial education at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah.

Mr. Rogers married Darlene Tingey.

The retired school teacher is survived by his wife; sons Gary Rogers of Longwood, Fla., William Rogers of Evans, Ga., Alan Rogers of Troutdale, and David Rogers of Sandpoint, Idaho; and daughters Jean Baird of Rexburg, Idaho, and Patricia Garner of North Pole, Alaska.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. in the Bull Mountain Latter-day Saints Ward Chapel, 15555 S.W. 98th Ave., in Tigard.
