Debra Ann Maymi
November 29, 1957 to November 25, 2013 -
Debbie Maymi died instantly in a car crash on Monday, November 25, 2013 in Portland, Oregon. She was 55 years young.
She is survived by her husband Rafael Maymi, her children Rudy, Alexandra, and Kara, her mother Ida and step-father Buddy, her sisters Donna and Lisa, and her brothers Christopher and Randy.
Debbie was born in El Paso Texas on November 29, 1957 to Ida and Charlie Middleton. She was eager to succeed and graduated from John Jay High, and went on to get her MBA at Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Debbie was among the pioneers of computer usage at a construction company while at Lady of the Lake, which enabled her to excel at the high tech companies of Datapoint, Wang, and Compaq. She later started working for Taco Bell as an Area Market Manager in Houston, Texas. From Portland, she managed 45 Taco Bell stores in Oregon and Washington. She later held the position of franchise business coach for the states of Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
During the past two and half years, Debbie and Rafael have been Area Developers for European Wax Centers in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho and Montana. Currently they managed three European Wax Centers in the Portland area.
One of her passions was travel through out the world. Debbie climbed Machu-Picchu in Peru, rode elephants in Thailand, had extensive visits to Italy, quested through Middle Earth in New Zealand, gawked at the sunrise over the opera house in Sydney, ventured to Ireland, Switzerland, Russia, London, Istanbul, Africa and Japan.
Debbie will be missed by family in Portland, San Antonio, Miami, Puerto Rico, and Belgium.
