Mandi Leah Machinski
April 28, 1951 to January 12, 2014 -
Mandi Leah Machinski, 62, of Oregon City, left an empty space in our hearts on January 12, 2014, when she peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by family.
She was born on April 28, 1951, as Rita Mae Solien, daughter to Ernie and Ruth Solien and sister to Lois (Solien) Pieri, Peggy (Solien) Hilton, and Rockie Solien. She married Michael Larsen from Sandy, Oregon in July of 1968 and graduated from Clackamas High School the following June 1969.
She worked for Omark Industries in Milwaukie, Oregon, until she chose to stay home to raise her young family. In 1986, she rejoined the workforce as a receptionist for a medical office, and maintained the career that she loved, at various medical offices within Clackamas County.
Mandi and Mike divorced in 2001, and the following year, she met and fell in love with Howard Machinski of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who she married in June of 2002. She lived happily, laughed daily, and spread beauty everywhere she went.
Mandi survives through the everlasting love of her husband: Howard Machinski, her three children: Melanie (Larsen) Benjamin, Michelle (Larsen) Ostrowski, and Morgan Larsen, who loved her dearly and miss her beautiful smile, and by anyone who was blessed to have known her.
Per Mandis wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of life ceremony.
