Beulah C. Spiering

Services have been held for Beulah Catherine Spiering, 85, of Forest Grove, who died Oct. 10, 2013.

She was born in Forest Grove, one of seven children born to George and Lena (Vandehey) Hendricks. She was raised on the family farm, attended Forest Grove Elementary, Forest Grove High School and St. Mary of the Valley.

She married David Spiering  in 1948, and they lived in Forest Grove.

She was a homemaker and raised five children, and worked at the Oregon Prune Exchange.

She enjoyed gardening. She was an active member of a prayer group, and started the first Friday soup lunch at St. Anthony’s with her sister, Joan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; brothers, Chuck and Dick; sister, Donna Hendricks; and great-grandson, Colton VanBlarcom.

Survivors include her children, Leah McDonald, Fauna VanBlarcom, Dan Spiering, Judy Brumfield and Jill Krueger; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Kalsch, Joan Herb, Flora Vandeberg and Wanda Rau; and brother, Roland Hendricks.
