Gresham resident Dominique Johnson died Monday, Jan 20. She was 55.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Clear Creek Middle School.
Dominique was born Sept. 10, 1958, in Montreal, Canada, to Omer Samson and Emiline Coulombe.
She attended Louis-Joseph Papineau High School in Montreal and went on to work as a secretary for Boxcraft Paper Box in 1975.
She married Dennis Johnson on April 22, 1978.
For the last 15 years, Dominique worked as a kitchen manager at Clear Creek Middle School. She was proud to be a lunch lady who took the role of second mother when the children were in her kitchen.
Dominique was a terrific host, famous for her cream puffs. A seamstress, she enjoyed sewing outfits for her youngest nephews. Her backyard always had beautiful flowers.
Her brother, Carmino, preceded Dominique in death. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; sisters, Carole and Joanne; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
