Maria D. Palomares

Services have been held for Maria Del Carmen Palomares, 87, of Hillsboro, who died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.

She was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Mexico, to Trinidad Verduzco and Maria Dolores Camarena.

She married Juan Palomares in 1953 in Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad Verduzco and Maria Dolores Verduzco; sons, Ramiro Palomares Verduzco and Juan Palomares Verduzco; siblings, Alfredo Verduzco Camarena, Daniel Verduzco Camarena, Gonzalo Verduzco Camarena and Delfina Verduzco Camarena.

Survivors include her husband, Juan Palomares of Hillsboro; children, Florencio Palomares Verduzco, Maria Esther Palomares Verduzco, Ramiro Palomares Verduzco, Maria Dolores Palomares Verduzco, Carmen Palomares Verduzco, Martin Palomares Verduzco and Amalia Palomares Verduzco; siblings, Rafael Verduzco Camarena, Fidencio Verduzco Camarena and Rosario Verduzco Camarena; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tualatin Valley Funeral Alternatives in Hillsboro is in charge of the arrangements.

LaNeva I. Robinson

Services have been held for LaNeva Irene Robinson, 94, of Cornelius, who died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014.

She was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Parks, Neb., to Ormal Charles and Hazel Fern (Mosier) Blaylock.

She married Clarence Brown in 1935 in Kansas. They later divorced. She married Leo Logue in 1941 in Washington. They later divorced. She married Norman Robinson in 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 1982; parents; and infant brother, Luther Blaylock.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Stanley of Forest Grove and LaNeta Jennings of Newport; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Alvina Josephine Spieker, 95, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. March 22, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 475 S.E. Third Ave.
