Todd E. Mitchell

June 21, 1976 - November 17, 2013-

Madras resident Todd E. Mitchell, 37, passed away Nov. 17, 2013, at St. Charles Bend. Todd lost his lifelong battle with illnesses, but he never lost his awesome attitude. He was loved and admired by everyone who met him.

After graduating from Madras High School, he attended automotive classes at COCC. He worked at that until he was unable to work.

He enjoyed brewing beer and barbecuing. His real love was rodeos and bull riding. Aspiring to be a stock contractor, he had two bulls, and made many friends in that business. He really enjoyed going to Las Vegas to the Professional Bull Rodeo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Ann Johns, and Frieda Griffith; and uncle Bill Berry. Also, his honorary grandparents, Walt and Lura McCaulou.

He is survived by his very loving family: parents, Bob and Dee Ann Mitchell; brother, Lance (and spouse Julie); nephews, Bodi, Trent, Jonah, and Noah; nieces, Kelsie and Sydney, all of Madras; his aunts, Jeanee (Fred) McCaulou of Sisters, Kay Berry of Bend, Joy (Barry) Cook of Sisters, and Susie (Doug) Coe, Earla Jackson and Earlene (Don) Horton, all of Portland; and many cousins and wonderful friends. He is missed by so many.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Madras Free Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
