Arnold C. Seibold

March 10th, 1918 - January 22nd, 2014-


Arnold SeiboldArnold Seibold of College Place and formerly of Milton-Freewater passed away on January 22, 2014 in Walla Walla at the age of 95 years. At his request, no public service will be held. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Arnold Seibold to the Blue Mountain Television in care of the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, Oregon 97862.

Arnold Carl Seibold was born on March 10, 1918 in Cathay, North Dakota. In 1934, the family moved Milton-Freewater, Oregon to be closer to his grandmother Feigner long with other relatives. Arnold and his family traveled by car while their personal belongings and livestock arrived by train. The Milton Box Company in Milton, owned by Harris Brothers employed Arnold. He worked there as a saw filler. In 1940 the Box Company moved to Pendleton, Oregon. In 1941 Arnold married Winona Budd in a double wedding ceremony, with Elmer Seibold and Roberta Budd. Both couples moved to Pendleton, Oregon where the Harris Pine Mills, formerly known as the Milton Box Company employed them.

Arnold and Winona later moved to Madras, Oregon in 1950 where he became a building contractor. Because of his skillful

abilities, Arnold began building houses as well as building furniture and kitchen cabinets for their home and others. Later the couple returned to Milton-Freewater and the Walla Walla Valley after retirement.

Survivors include his wife Winona of College Place, Washington; daughters Janice Hutson of Culver, Oregon and Pamela Fletcher of Ventura, California; son Norman Seibold of Selma, Oregon; sisters, LaVerne LeFore and Irene Engelhart both of Milton-Freewater,

Oregon; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His parents, son, Stephen Seibold; brothers, Norman and Elmer Seibold; sister Donna Wallace and grandsons, Michael Hutson and Steven Burke all preceded him in death.
