Vincent C. Boylan

He died at his home in St. Helens on October 20, 2013, at the age of 88.

Vincent attended school in Kalama, Washington.

In 1940 he moved from Kelso to St. Helens.

He married Ardis Harris on November 12, 1943, in St. Helens.

On November 15, 1943, he went into the Navy and was discharged on January 18, 1946.

He retired from Campbell Towing Company in Wrangell, Alaska, in 1987. He also worked for Umpqua River Navigation and Shephard Towing Co. in St. Helens.

Vincent was a member of the St. Helens Elks Lodge #1999 since 1970.

They enjoyed traveling in their motor home for 25 years until they moved with family in July of 2010 to Vancouver, Washington.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ardis and John Nissen of Vancouver, Washington; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardis; and son, Vince JC.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens.

Private interment is at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose.
