Carolyn Wallis Cooke

June 17, 1943 to August 28, 2013 -


Carolyn Wallis Cooke was born the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Rice) Wallis on Thursday, June 17, 1943 in Lihue, Hawaii.

Carolyn graduated from Punahou High School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1961. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Gulf Park College in Gulf Port, Mississippi. After receiving her degree she returned to Hawaii where she became the Executive Secretary for the General Manager at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in Kamuela, Hawaii. Carolyn later moved to Sunriver to work for her sister and brother-in-law at Bennington Properties.

On Wednesday, August 28, 2013, Carolyn Wallis Cooke died at her residence when she was seventy years, two months and eleven days of age.

Surviving and left to honor her life are: two sons, Peter and his wife Stephanie and Stephen Cooke and his fiancé Andrea Cutsforth all of Beaverton; her brother Samuel Wallis Jr. and his wife Sandy of Hilo, Hawaii; her sister Penny Bennington and her husband Gene of Sunriver; six grandchildren, Carson, Kaytlin, PJ, Kai, Olivia and Charlie Cooke and those who have come to know and appreciate her where she has lived and worked. Her parents preceded her in death.
