May 7, 1920 - February 22, 2014
Arlene Archer (Hurst) was born May 7, 1920 in Hotchkiss, Colo., and entered into Heaven on Feb. 22, 2014. She was 93.
Arlene had many talents and served God and her family in everything she did. She excelled in music, painting, arts and crafts, gardening and sewing. She played the organ and led choirs in many churches, from Hessel Union Church in Sebastapol, Calif., to Pacific International Baptist in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Mid-Valley Community Church in Woodburn, where she and her husband Tom, lived for the past 25 years. Her music was a ministry to so many, as was her love for God. She was loved by everyone she met and gave love in return. She will be greatly missed.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Thomas E. Archer, her daughter, Joan Denman, two brothers, Darryl and Willard Hurst, and her sister, Francis Fleming.
She is survived by her sons John Archer of Liberty Lake, Wash., and Tom Archer of St Maries, Idaho, seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Arlene's life will be held April 12 at 11 a.m. at Mid-Valley Community Church in Woodburn.
