Mildred Anne McNulty

January 21, 1930 - March 27, 2014


Mildred Anne McNulty (Heisler), 84, of Woodburn, died March 27, 2014, in Silverton Hospital.

Mildred was born Jan. 21, 1930 in Gervais to Claude and Mary (Sittel) Heisler.

Mildred was a proud native Oregonian and comes from a family of pioneers (Heisler) that settled in Oregon in the 1850s as part of the Oregon Trail. Mildred graduated from Gervais High School and University of Portland. After graduating she presumed a teaching career, working for the public school districts of Woodburn and Canby. She later substituted for Willamette Valley ESD. She married Donald McNulty in Woodburn at St. Luke Catholic Church.

Mildred is survived by her children, Dr. Kristy McNulty of Woodburn, Jack McNulty of Woodburn and Dean McNulty of Salem, her sister, Violet Schaeffer of Calif., eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her German shepherd, Braunie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and daughter Susan.

A Rosary was held March 30 at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Woodburn and a funeral mass was held Mar. 31 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Woodburn, followed by the interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Gervais.
