Gerald C. Wood

September 15, 1923 - April 5, 2014

Gerald “Jeb” “Jerry” was born in Hoquiam, Wash. to Glenn and Thelma. As a veteran of World by: SUBMITTED - Gerald C. WoodWar II he was an engineer in the Pacific Army. He met his sweetheart, Mary, and was married 64 years. Jeb enjoyed his work as a pile driver, especially truss work. He loved singing and playing guitar throughout his life, including family gatherings, band, churches and choir. In retirement, he was a member and director of Senior Estates Men’s Choir. His mission at retirement and care facilities brought joy and comfort to many through music and prayer.

He is survived by his sons Jerry, Tom (Kris), and Bobby Wood, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother Roland and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and son Steven.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 13 at Hoodview Church of God in Woodburn.
