Ronald Lorin Robinson
Ronald Lorin Robinson (Ronnie) of Molalla, died March 10, 2014. He was 80.
He was born Aug 4, 1933, in Lewiston Utah, to Lorin and Sybil Bybee Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Faye Stephenson and Jean Wiles. He is survived by his sons, Dennis Robinson, of Molalla, Daniel Robinson of Takilma, Ore., Donald Robinson of Albany and David of Bakersfield, Calif; daughters, Lynna Rodman, of Taft, Calif. and Rhonda, of Bakersfield, Calif.
His surviving siblings are Ethel Swanson and Myrna Cain, of Idaho, Lorna Baker, of Canby, Gary Robinson, of California, and Del Robinson, of Utah, and his former wife and best friend, Arlene Robinson, of Molalla.
Ron worked in the oil fields in California, retiring from Oil Well Service company of Long Beach and Bakersfield, Calif. After his retirement, he joined his parents in Canby. The last few years of his life were lived in Pheasante Pointe assisted living in Molalla, and then in Ohana Adult Foster Care in Molalla.
A memorial service is being arranged.
Curtis Edward Mitts
Curtis Edward Mitts died March 6, 2014. He was 52.
He was born to Harold Edward Mitts, Sr. and Betty Kay Francis Mitts. The Mitts are a longtime Molalla family.
Survivors are daughter, Amber Mitts; son, Craig Edward Mitts; brothers, Stephen Mitts, Bruce Mitts, Harold Edward Mitts, Jr. and Raymond Mitts; sisters, Debbie Mitts Thornton and Marion Mitts Galloway.
A potluck celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Smyrna Church, 31119 S. Highway 170, Canby.
Norma Joan Sprague
Norma Joan Sprague died March 9, 2014. She was 82.
She was born May 31, 1931, in Kimball, Neb.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., March 22, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 704 Patrol Street, Molalla, Ore.
A gathering will be held directly following the service at Molalla Grange, 127 Grange Avenue, Molalla, Ore.
Jimmie Collins died Feb. 16, 2014. He was 79.
He was born Nov. 14, 1934 in Jayton, Texas. He served in the U.S. Marines, worked in nurseries, ranches and as a care-giver. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses and helping others.
He is survived by several brothers; a sister; and nieces and nephews and his close companion Dorothy Gross.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and several brothers.
Marilyn Landeen died March 12, 2014, at Rackleff Place in Canby, where she resided for the last three years. She was 90.
She was born Sept. 26, 1923, in Forest Grove, to H. Oliver and Vera Buxton. She was raised in Molalla and graduated from Molalla High School and attended Oregon State University and Portland State University. She served in the Navy during WWII.
She married Craig Landeen and later divorced. She was an avid horse enthusiast and active in the Molalla Buckaroo Royals. She worked as a counselor and teacher at McLaren School for Boys in Woodburn before her retirement. Survivors include her son, Clint Landeen, of Canby, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicolette Wonacott, and brother, Elliot Buxton. No services are planned at this time.
Keith Charles Hayes
Keith Charles Hayes died Feb. 24, 2014. He was 53.
He was born Oct. 9, 1960, in Portland, to Robert C. and Elizabeth (Williams) Hayes. He graduated from Colton High School in 1978. While in high school he ran cross country, played football, and was also on the wrestling and track teams.
He worked in the fishing industry in Alaska. When he returned to Molalla, he went to work for Meadowbrook Construction. He then went to work in the timber industry until 2003. After that, he worked for Kellogg Brown & Root Services Inc. from 2003-2010. While working for Kellogg Brown & Root Services he went to Fallujah, Iraq where he worked at the Al-Taqaddum Air Base, in government operations, as a heavy equipment operator.
Keith also enjoyed hunting, fishing and older automobiles.
He is survived by his step-father, Stan Watson of Yoder; brothers, Robert and Scott; sisters, Dawn, Donna and Elizabeth.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bob C. Hayes; and mother, Betty Watson.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 p.m.-4 p.m., May 17, 2014, at the Molalla Senior Center, 315 Kennel Ave. Molalla, Ore.
Richard Panattoni died March 19, 2014. He was 74.
He was born March 23, 1939 in Portland, to Julius and Helen Panattoni. He married Elaine Panattoni June 21, 1980. He attended school in Portland. Once he retired, he enjoyed painting sceneries, woodworking, and attending sporting events. He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Harris of Molalla; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., March 27, at Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Grant Francis will be officiating.
