Theodore Earl Sharp

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Theodore Earl SharpTheodore Earl Sharp, 88, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully in his home alongside his beloved wife of 66 years, March 10, 2014.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1925, to Jeffery and Jeanette Sharp in Helena, Mont. Teddy, along with his brothers, Grant, Jeff, Leslie; and sisters, Jean and Peggy, grew up in Sixteen Mile Canyon, Mont. where his dad, Jeff, was a rancher and his Mother, Jeanette, was a teacher in the remote canyon area schoolhouse.

Theodore joined the United States Air Force in 1945 and was stationed at March Air Force Base where he met Wilma Ruth Ann Wells of Mira Loma, Calif. on a blind date. Ted and Wilma married in 1948 and raised three children whom are married; Ronald Sharp and wife Tami, Patricia Sharp-Donnelly and husband George, Brian Sharp and wife, Connie; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Ted was a saddle maker and craftsmen in Sunnymead, Calif. until 1967 when they moved the family to the Southern Oregon area continuing his craft.

Ted and Wilma settled in the Canby, Mt. Angel and Molalla Ore. areas and later moving to Vancouver, Wash. Ted and Wilma were members of the Canby Foursquare Church for 27 years.

A memorial honor service will be at 11 A.M. on Monday, April 7th, 2014, at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore.
