Victor Lawrence Farber

Victor Lawrence Farber, 72, died Sept. 18, 2013, in Tualatin, after a brief illness. He was born May 2, 1941, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Lawrence and Helena Farber and grew up in North Brookfield, N.Y.

He was retired after working as an engineer for Jacobs Engineering. He did the electrical designs for many hospital, libraries and microchip fabrication plants.

He moved to Canby in 1994. He enjoyed restoring his ’59 Thunderbird, fixing things and teaching his skills to his children.

Survivors include his sons, Victor Jr., of Rolla, Mo., and Joseph and Andrew, of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Elizabeth Presson, of Tucson; stepsons, K. Scott and Russell Coopwood; stepdaughter, Jennifer Lingafelter; sisters, Linda Decker, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Patricia Huntley, of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers; Claude, of Waterville, N.Y., Elwood, of Albuquerque, N.M., Arthur, of Theodore, Ala., and Lawrence Jr., of Clinton, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren.

His second wife, Frances, preceded him in death.
