Frank J. Barich

September 12, 1927 - March 28, 2014 -

Frank J. Barich, 86, died peacefully at home on March 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Barich and his four children: Terese Barich, her son, Christopher Barich; Carri Barish; Lisa Barich, her fiance', John Stevens; Frank Barich, his wife, Mara, and their sons Devin, Peter, and Colin Barich.

Born and raised in Roslyn, WA, Frank worked for the US Forest Service, was an Air Force ­Corporal in WWII, and was a graduate of Gonzaga University. He had a 30-year career with Chevron as a Public Affairs Manager.

For Frank, faith and family always came first. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was also a CYO coach for several years as sports were a big part of his life. Frank's lifelong appreciation of the fine arts was evident in his painting, writing, story telling, love of music, and spirited philosophical conversations. He was a true Renaissance man.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Canby, OR. ­Donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Building Fund.
