Milton James Howe

Milton James HoweMilton James Howe was born on January 7, 1924 in Shanghai China. He died on June 26, 2014 in Canby, Oregon.

He was a United States Marine and saw ­combat in the South Pacific in World War II and in the Korean War. He got a degree in Animal Husbandry from Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo. He sold pharmaceuticals to veterinarians for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret James and Louis Milton Howe and his siblings, Myrtle, Gordon and Margaret.

Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Joyce, and children David and Katie, two granddaughters, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casey Eye Institute, St. Francis Church ­Memorial Fund or a local Humane Society.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, July 25, 2014, 10:30 am at St Francis of Assisi ­Episcopal Church (8818 SW Miley Rd., Wilsonville). A Private interment will follow.
