Roberta Elaine Imhoff

May 18, 1916 to Aug. 25, 2013


Roberta Elaine Imhoff died in Milwaukie on Aug. 25, 2013, at age 97.

She was born in Chico, Calif., on May 18, 1916, to parents Ray and Charlotte Shupe. She graduated from West Linn High School in 1933.

In 1935, she became a telephone operator and advanced to evening chief operator and later was promoted to the district traffic manager’s office in an administrative position; she worked for the company for 18 years.

She and her family were involved in the Masonic organizations, VFW, Oregon City Elks, Soroptimist Club and the Oregon City Woman’s Club, where she was named Citizen of Dedication. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Ron McEvers, and one grandchild, Geoffrey McEvers.

Memorial donations may be made to Providence Hospice or American Cancer Society. Arrangements: Hillside Chapel in Oregon City.
