Eugene Edward â€œEdâ€ Stolz
Eugene Edward "Ed" Stolz, 86, of Boring, Oregon, passed away on June 12, 2017, at home with his loved ones by his side after a short battle with cancer.
Ed was born on July 30, 1930, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Robert and Jean (Currie) Stolz.
He attended Parkrose High School in Portland, Oregon. Ed joined the Army and was stationed in Alaska during the Korean War.
He enjoyed managing his business, O.B. Blakely Construction, fishing, hunting, flying and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie of International Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Barbara Stolz; brothers, Art and Bill Stolz; sister, Roberta Neilson; and his children, Kathleen and Steve Thompson, Nancy and David Thompson, Jim and Pat Stolz, Eddie and Terrea Stolz, Christine and Jeff Scott, and Cyndi and Bob Kroon; 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother Bob Stolz, and his daughter Debbie Stolz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon on July 2nd at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery.
