Grant driven by dreams; Blues look to disprove doubters in 6A tournament

PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: SETH GORDON - Khiarica Rasheed of Grant High goes for a jump shot in a playoff victory over Newberg. Saturday was memorable for the Grant High girls basketball program.

By galloping past Jesuit, the Generals reached the state quarterfinals for the first time since the 1983 team finished second to Crook County. And reaching the state tournament site for the first time since 1989 was a fun way to close a gym that will be rebuilt as part of a renovation project.
