Visit North Mississippi Avenue to help fire relief efforts for Friends of the Columbia Gorge on Monday

COURTESY: JAMIE KING - More than 20 businesses on North Mississippi Avenue will donate a portion of sales on Monday, Sept. 25 to support Eagle Creek Fire relief efforts in the Columbia Gorge.  More than 20 businesses along North Mississippi Avenue have banded together to show their support for the Eagle Creek Fire efforts.

On Monday, Sept. 25, they'll donate a percentage of sales and supplies to the nonprofit Friends of the Columbia Gorge, which works to conserve and protect the national historic area through education and conservation awareness.

Visitors are encouraged to come out and sip, dine, shop and enjoy the neighborhood business district.

Participating businesses include: Ecliptic Brewing, Gypsy Chic, Crow Bar, Paxton Gate PDX, Verde Cocina, Flutter, Trailhead Credit Union, Flex & Flow Yoga, The Rambler, She Bop, Gravy, Mississippi Pizza Pub, Another Read Through, ReBuilding Center, Radar Restaurant, Beacon Sound, Black Wagon, Stormbreaker Brewing, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Pistils Nursery, UCHU, Miss Delta, Spin Laundry Lounge, ¿Por Qué No? Taqueria, Gumbo Gifts & Gallery, Moloko,Prost! Portland, Interurban, The Herbe Shoppe, Sunlan Lighting, Stash Tea, PDXchange — Fair and Square.

Another business, No Bones Beach Club PDX, will be closed Monday but will donate a percentage of their sales on Tuesday, Sept. 26 instead.

"How can we help? This seems to be the question on everyone's minds," said Karolyn Simon, of Ecliptic Brewing. "The wildfire photos and evacuation stories have been devastating to watch and we've all wanted to do something to help."
