by: TRIBUNE PHOTO: MEG WILLIAMS - Quarterback Marcus Mariota, taking off on a run against Oregon State, has been named one of the Oregon Ducks' most outstanding players for 2012 by vote of his teammates.University of Oregon football players have voted senior linebacker Michael Clay and redshirt freshman quarterback Marcus Mariota the team's most outstanding members of the 2012 team.

The awards were presented at a reception Sunday afternoon at the Club at Autzen.

Most inspirational — Senior defensive lineman/linebacker Dion Jordan

Len Casanova Award (given to a first-year player) — Freshman defensive lineman DeForest Buckner

Elmer Sahlstrom Award (given to a senior for academics, attitude and play) — Offensive lineman Carson York

Duane J. Cargill Memorial Award (given to the outstanding offensive impact player as determined by the coaches) — Senior running back Kenjon Barner

Dudley Clarke Memorial Award (most improved player) — Redshirt freshman linebacker Tyson Coleman

Bob Office Award (to the player who excels in spite of physical adversity) — Senior linebacker Kiko Alonso

Joe Schaffeld Trophy (outstanding defensive lineman) — Junior Taylor Hart

Pancake Club Award (for knocking down the most opposing defensive linemen) — Sophomre Jake Fisher

Ed Moshofsky Trophy (outstanding offensive lineman) — Hroniss Grasu

Todd Doxey Award (for various traits, including spirituality, dedication, brotherhood) — Hroniss Grasu

Scout team players of the year — Freshman lineman Andre Yruretagoyena (offense), sophomore linebacker Grant Thompson (defense), junior Dane Ebanez (special teams)
