TORONTO — Portland native Terrence Ross scored a season-high 26 points and Toronto led wire to wire in a 102-79 rout of the Trail Blazers Wednesday night at Air Canada Centre.

The rookie guard from Jefferson High came off the bench to make 8 of 14 shots from the field, including 6 of 9 from 3-point land, and had five rebounds in just 25 minutes.

DeMar DeRozan scored 24 points, sinking 11 of 17 shots, Ed Davis contributed 19 points on 9-for-12 shooting and Jose Calderon dished out 13 assists for Toronto (12-20), which has won eight of its last nine games.

Damian Lillard scored 18 points for Portland (16-15), which was on the second stop of a four-game road trip.

Toronto jumped to a 10-0 advantage, was in front 18-6 and settled for a 24-17 edge after one quarter. The Blazers cut the margin to 28-24 before the Raptors — with Ross leading the way — sank seven straight shots during a 19-5 run to go in front 47-29. The Raptors shot .595 from the field in racing to a 55-39 halftime lead.

The Raptors increased the lead to 72-53 and took a 78-61 advantage into the fourth quarter. Toronto scored the first four points of the final period to go on top 82-61, and there would be no comeback on this night.

NOTES — Portland was playing the second of back-to-back games after its 105-100 win at New York on Tuesday. The Blazers continue their trip Friday at Memphis... The Blazers had won eight straight against Toronto, including four in a row at Air Canada Centre... Portland rookie Joel Freeland scored a season-high 11 points on 4-for-6 shooting and had four boards in 21 minutes off the bench. ... Portland was 4 for 22 in 3-point attempts. The Blazers started 0 for 7 from 3-point range before Luke Babbitt hit one early in the second quarter, making them 0-for 27 for the season against Toronto to that point. Portland was 0 for 20 in its Dec. 10 102-84 win over the Raptors at the Rose Garden, then an NBA record for futility. ... Toronto point guards Calderon and Kyle Lowry didn’t score but combined for 22 assists. Late in the third quarter, Calderon had 12 assists — the same as the entire Portland team. ... Final bench points differential: Toronto 59, Portland 23 ... Besides DeRozan and Davis, the other three Toronto scorers — Calderon, Aaron Gray and Mikael Pietrus — went scoreless.
