COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The Portland Timbers rallied to net a 2-2 Major League Soccer draw with Colorado on Saturday, as Will Johnson scored two goals 16 minutes apart at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The Rapids had built a 2-0 lead on first-half goals by midfielder Dillon Powers and Hendry Thomas (penalty kick).

But the Timbers fought back, getting Johnson's goal in the 55th minute and the equalizer on Johnson's penalty kick in the 70th minute.

The Timbers improved their record to 0-1-3 (three points) and remained unbeaten through their past three road matches.

The Rapids fell to 0-3-2 (two points).

Portland returns home, playing host to defending Eastern Conference champion Houston, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6.
