Tight end Colt Lyerla is done as a Duck.
That was the word Sunday night from Eugene, where Oregon coach Mark Helfrich announced that the standout tight end from Hillsboro is leaving the team for what were termed "personal reasons" in the UO press release.
Lyerla, a junior, was not with the Ducks at Boulder, Colo., for Saturdays 57-16 win over the Colorado Buffaloes, while serving a one-game suspension. He also missed a victory earlier in the year against Tennessee in Eugene.
The 2012 honorable mention Pac-12 all-conference selection had caught two passes for 26 yards in three games this season. He ends his Oregon career with 34 receptions for 565 yards and 11 touchdowns.
