EUGENE — The Oregon Ducks have picked quarterback Marcus Mariota as their co-Most Outstanding Player and Most Inspirational Player.

Senior defensive lineman Taylor Hart from Tualatin High shared the Most Outstanding award with him, by vote of their teammates. He is the first DL to get MVP honors since end Nick Reed in 2008.

Hart also received the Joe Schaffeld Trophy as the team's most oustanding defensive lineman for the second year in a row. He led Oregon linemen in tackles with 64, fourth-most on the team, and had three sacks, five pass break-ups and three forced fumbles.

Freshman tight end Johnny Mundt got the Len Casanova Award, which goes to the first-year player who best exemplifies the ideals of inspiration of the program's former head coach and former UO athletic director.
