• In a wild game before a huge junior hockey crowd, the Winterhawks rallied from a 4-1 deficit, after giving up four straight goals, and win in the final minute.

Nicolas Petan scored four goals, and Oliver Bjorkstrand's second goal — with 20 seconds remaining — lifted the Hawks to the home-ice victory.


• Portland pulled back to within one point of Western Hockey League points leader Everett, with both having played 28 games going into their match-up Tuesday night at Everett.


• Petan scored three consecutive goals, two to end the second period and again at 1:42 of the third period, as Portland rallied to tie the Blades 4-4.

After Saskatoon took the lead on a power play at 5:46 of the third frame, Petan got his fourth goal of the night (and 19th this season) with the man advantage at 13:48.

• Bjorkstrand opened the scoring at 19:37 of the first period (Saskatoon answered 11 seconds later).

Bjorkstand's game-winner was his 23rd goal of the season.

• The Hawks' Brendan Leipsic had five assists — on every goal but Portland's first.


• Portland finished with a 53-16 lead in shots, outshooting Saskatoon 14-4 in the first period, 21-8 in the second and 18-4 in the third.
