The former Oregon State receiver was born on this day in Miami, Fla.

Johnson, 6-1 and 185 pounds, last played in the NFL in 2011 with New England. He starred for Cincinnati as a Bengal from 2001-10.

Johnson was a three-time All-Pro player and six-time Pro Bowler.

He led the AFC in receiving yards three times and was first in the NFL in that category in 2006.CHAD JOHNSON

In his career, he had 766 catches for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdown.

Johnson and the 2000 OSU Beavers went 11-1 and beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl under then-Oregon State coach Dennis Erickson.
