The former Oregon Ducks quarterback was born on this day in Oakland, Calif.

Dixon, 6-3 and 215 pounds, also a highly recruited baseball player, took a grayshirt year at UO in 2003, then played behind Kellen Clemens in 2004 and most of 2005, splitting time with Brady Leaf.

Dixon became the full-time starter for Mike Bellotti in 2006 and was a Heisman Trophy candidate in 2007 before injuring his left knee.

He has bounced around the NFL since, with the Buffalo Bills in 2013 being his fourth stop.
