Jefferson dominated Grant in the showcase game of the annual PIL Showcase Saturday night at the former Marshall High.
The Democrats led 24-7 after one period and never were headed as they beat the Generals 102-79 in the fifth and final boys basketball game of the day.
Quintus Hall Jr., scored 26 points to lead four Demos in double figures. Silas Melson scored 24 points, Devaunte Paschal had 20 and Kadeem Strickland finished with 18 points and 14 assists.
Jeff improved to 9-1. The loss came to nationally ranked Rainier Beach (Wash.) in last month's Les Schwab Invitational.
Grant got 18 points from Darren Kennedy and 16 from Ian Downey in the nonleague game between Portland Interscholastic League rivals.
The Generals, who were without injured big man Deiondre Bird, fell to 6-6 with their sixth loss in the past seven games. Bird is out for at least a couple of weeks with a broken jaw.
Grant's next outing is Tuesday at West Linn, the defending Class 6A champion.

David Douglas (8-3) beat Franklin by 15 points for the second time this season. The Scots won Saturday's opening Showcase game 56-41. The Quakers fell to 6-6.
Lincoln pulled away from Roosevelt for a 70-61 victory. The Cardinals improved to 9-4, while the Roughriders slipped to 3-10.
Madison led most of the way and held off a Benson late rally for an 85-82 triumph.The Senators raised their season record to 8-4. Tech dropped to 5-7. Benson had defeated Madison 64-54 on Dec. 28 in the Barlow Trail Tournament.
Wilson was hot from 3-point range and inside, riddling Cleveland 76-56. The Trojans improved to 4-7 after an 0-4 start. The Warriors are 6-4.
