FOX SPORTS (Joe Buck, Troy Aikman)

  • Forecast: Partly sunny, temperature near 50 degrees, light winds

    • The Seahawks have won six consecutive home playoff games.

    • The 49ers have won eight games in a row overall.

    • Seattle has the best home record — the Hawks are 16-1 at CenturyLink Field since they drafted Russell Wilson in 2012.

    • San Francisco has the best road record (8-2) of any team left in the NFL playoffs.

    • The home team has won all three meetings since SF drafted QB Colin Kaepernick — but the Seahawks have outscored the Niners 88-35.

    • Seattle QB Russell Wilson has thrown for 3,357 yards and run for 539 yards this season.

    • Kaepernick has passed for 3,197 yards and rushed for 524.

    • Wilson's passing efficiency has slipped in recent weeks, however, and the Seattle offense has been less productive. And he won't have his main deep threat, Percy Harvin, the wide receiver who is out with a concussion.

    • Kaepernick has come on since the return of receiver Michael Crabtree, posting a 100.0 passer rating and 12-2 TD-to-interception ratio. But he hasn't played well in Seattle the past two seasons.

    • The Seahawks' secondary has maybe the strongest unit in the game, with cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Byron Maxwell ranking 1-2 in opposing passer rating and safeties Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor adding to the physicality and coverage. Kaepernick has thrown 14 career interceptions against Seattle — more than 1/3 of his NFL total.

    • San Francisco's strength is its linebacker corps of Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman and Ahmad Brooks.

    • Seattle is 14-3, San Francisco 14-4.

    • The last time Seattle hosted an NFC title game, the Hawks beat Carolina, then lost to Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XL.
