No. 22 North Dakota State edged No. 20 Oregon State 19-17 in a dual meet Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.

Each team won five matches.

In Los Angeles, the sixth-ranked UCLA Bruins downed Oregon State in a gymnastics meet Sunday night, 196.425 to 195.625.

“We had some really good individual performances, but as a team I’m disappointed,” OSU coach Tanya Chaplin said. “There was improvement in some areas from last week but this team needs to find its identity."

The first of four consecutive home meets for Oregon State is 7 p.m. Saturday against Iowa State.

"There is a lot of work to do to get ready for next week," Chaplin said, "and we have a lot of work to do to be the kind of team we want to be.”

Highlights for the Beavers came on the balance beam. Chelsea Tang scored 9.875, Madeline Gardiner had a career-best 9.85, Brittany Harris and Kaytianna McMillan posted 9.825 and Katelyn Ohlrich added a 9.80.
