Oliver Bjorkstrand's hat trick gave Portland a 4-1 lead midway through the second period, and the Hawks went on to post their seventh consecutive Western Hockey League victory against an injury plagued Everett club playing its third game in three days and fourth game in five days.

Everett took a 1-0 lead on Joshua Winquist's goal 9:49 into the game. Bjorkstrand answered 51 seconds later, and he scored 1:06 into the second period to give Portland a 2-1 lead.
Others scoring a goal for Portland: Brendan Leipsic, Chase De Leo and Keegan Iverson.
Leipsic wound up with 21 penalty minutes.
