The Trail Blazers' guards were too much for the Los Angeles Lakers' All-Star near-retirement guard, Kobe Bryant, and an outmanned visiting team Saturday night at Moda Center.
Damian Lillard (36 points) and CJ McCollum (28 points) gave Portland 64 points in 63 minutes out of its starting backcourt, fueling the Blazers' 121-103 victory in the final Portland appearance for Bryant.
Lillard made 14 of 19 field-goal attempts, and McCollum was 12 of 21. From 3-point range, Lillard was 5 of 8, McCollum 4 of 8.
Kobe, whose five NBA rings included some key performances in playoff wins over the Blazers, was 5 of 9 from the field (0 of 1 from beyond the arc) and scored 10 points, but also had five turnovers, in 25 minutes.
