WALTONFeb. 5, 1978

Three Trail Blazers — Bill Walton, Maurice Lucas and Lionel Hollins — play in the NBA All-Star Game at the Omni Coliseum in Atlanta.

Their West team, coached by Portland’s Jack Ramsay, loses to the East 133-125. Walton has 15 points and 10 rebounds in 31 minutes, Lucas 12 points and a team-high 13 rebounds in 33 minutes, and Hollins 10 points and a team-high eight assists in 23 minutes.

Also playing for the West: David Thompson, Rick Barry, Paul Westphal, Bobby Jones, Walter Davis, Brian Winters, Artis Gilmore and Bob Lanier.

Buffalo’s Randy Smith of the East leads all scorers with 27 points. His teammates for coach Billy Cunningham: Dave Cowens, Julius Erving, Doug Collins, Truck Robinson, John Havlicek, Larry Kenon, Bob McAdoo, George Gervin, Moses Malone, Elvin Hayes and an injured Pete Maravich.
