Beavers, Ducks win in Pac-12 women's hoop

The Beavers won their 12th consecutive game, the second-longest streak in school history (14 in a row, 1982-83).

Jamie Weisner tied a career high with 27 points, and added seven rebounds and four assists. Sydney Wiese had 10 assists, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Ruth Hamblin had 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks.

“I loved the way we started and set the tone early,” OSU coach Scott Rueck said. “I thought we moved the ball really well and we finished really well.”

The Beavers (22-3, 13-1 Pac-12) held Utah to .345 shooting.

OSU finishes its regular-season home schedule against USC (Friday) and UCLA (Sunday).

Oregon 77, Colorado 70, at Matthew Knight Arena

The Ducks won their fifth consecutive game, as Jillian Alleyne had 26 points and 17 rebounds and Maite Cazorla scored a career-high 23 points, and added five assists and three rebounds. Kat Cooper hit five 3-pointers and added 18 points.

The Ducks moved to 19-6 overall and 8-6 in Pac-12 play. They play UCLA on Friday and USC on Sunday.
