Warner Pacific women bow out of CCC playoffs




Oregon Tech 70, Warner Pacific 47, at Klamath Falls

The Knights had their Cascade Collegiate Conference season end in a playoff game.

Warner Pacific shot only .315 from the field to the Owls' .479, who hit 10 of 17 3-pointers.

Kasara Brandenburg had 14 points for the Knights (14-13).

Morgan Roberts and Tess Armstrong had 13 points each for Oregon Tech (24-7).

In other CCC playoff games, Southern Oregon beat College of Idaho 87-50, Eastern Oregon beat Northwest 74-59 and Northwest Christian beat Corban 68-56.


Western Oregon 81, Concordia 74, at Monmouth

The Wolves, a previously ranked No. 1 NCAA Division II team and two-time Great Northwest Athletic Conference champs, beat the Cavaliers in their regular-season home finale.

Now ranked sixth in Division II, the Wolves had four players in double figures: Jordan Wiley 18 points (all on 3-pointers), Tanner Omlid and Andy Avgi 15 each and Julian Nichols 14 (and 11 rebounds). Wiley hit six of WOU's nine 3-pointers.

For Concordia (7-19, 5-14 GNAC), Riley Hawken had 17 points, Drew Martin 15 (and nine rebounds), Daniel Duitsman 12 and Latrell Wilson 10.

The Wolves (24-3, 17-2) led by 22 points with 7:56 left.
