The Oregon Ducks (29-5) drew a No. 3 seed in the NCAA men's basketball tournament and will open Friday against No. 14 Iona (22-12) at Sacramento, California.
The winner will face either No. 6 Creighton (25-9) or No. 11 Rhode Island (24-9) on Sunday. Oregon coach Dana Altman came to Eugene after a long run with Creighton.
Kansas got the No. 1 seed in the Midwest. Louisville is No. 2.
UCLA also received a No. 3 seed and will be in the South, facing No. 14 Kent State in Sacramento on Friday, as well.
Defending champion Villanova got the top seed in the East. Duke is the No. 2 in that region.
North Carolina is the No. 1 seed in the South, with Kentucky the No. 2.
In the West, Gonzaga pulled in the No. 1 seed, with Arizona No. 2. The Bulldogs will open against South Dakota State on Thursday at Salt Lake City. Arizona will begin the tourney with North Dakota of the Big Sky on Thursday at Salt Lake City.
USC, the other Pac-12 team in the field, will face Providence in a "First Four" game Wednesday at Dayton, Ohio, for the No. 11 seed in the East.
