Portland scores game's final three goals in late rush, wins 4-3

Down 3-1, Caleb Jones scored shorthanded from Matt Revel at 14:21 for Portland, Cody Glass tied the score at 17:23, and Skyler McKenzie found the net with 13 seconds remaining.

Portland improved to 38-27-1-3 (80 points) with three games to go in its regular season.

Everett fell to 41-16-8-3 (93 with four games left.

The Silvertips are battling idle Seattle, which has 94 points with three games remaining, for first place in the Western Hockey League Western Conference.

The Hawks have been chasing Victoria (80 points, three games remaining) and Tri-City (79 points, four games to play) for a spot higher than the eighth and final playoff berth in the West.

Everett grabbed the lead 2:22 into the game on Brandson Hein's unassisted score. At 15:58 of the first period, Matt Fonteyne made it a 2-0 Silvertips lead.

Portland's Lane Gilliss scored at 11:49 of the second period, but Everett responded with a goal by Eetu Tuulola 18 seconds later.

Portland had 46 shots in the game, Everett 35. The Hawks' Cole Kehler went the distance and notched his 30th win of the season.
