Champion bowler from Milwaukie heads this week's list of athletes who have reason to celebrate

Dave Husted (age 58)

The Milwaukie product was inducted into the Professional Bowlers Association Hall of Fame in 1996 and the U.S. Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 2012.

Nat Borchers (age 37)

The retired MLS defender, born in Tucson, Arizona, now is helping with broadcasts for the Portland Timbers.

Jack Jewsbury (age 37)

Having also retired after the 2016 Timbers campaign, the veteran MLS midfielder/defender from Joplin, Mo., works for the Portland club as director of business development.

Aaron Miles (age 35)

After leading Jefferson High to the 2000 state championship and a 28-0 season, the 6-1 PG went on to star for Kansas and play pro basketball around the world for 10 seasons.

April 14, 1986

Max Unger (age 32)

The New Orleans Saints center and former Seattle Seahawk came to the NFL in 2009 as a second-round draft pick out of Oregon. A 6-5, 205-pounder, he made the Pro Bowl in 2012 and 2013, earning All-Pro status in 2012.
